Together, we’re making a difference—one initiative at a time.

A started as a wish list by creating a catalogue of meaningful causes to support them than gifting me birthday presents and launched it with an instagram post to help an animal shelter raise funds. Every cause is different from the other and its impact affects variety of recipients. With COVID-19 outbreak, being an immigrant in foreign land made us all realize the value of care, concern, support and feeling of belonging.
That's the beginning of *#WishBoard.

A Vision for a Better TomorrowAt #WishBoard, we are driven by the belief that small actions can spark big change. Through impactful initiatives, we focus on addressing urgent needs and uplifting communities—whether it’s providing masks during a pandemic, supporting animal shelters, or advocating for marginalized groups. Every cause we champion brings us one step closer to creating a more compassionate, connected world.

Our Previous Initiatives at #WishBoard

At #WishBoard, we are driven by a simple yet powerful mission: to make a positive impact on the lives of people and communities through one cause at a time. We believe in the power of collective action and have been able to achieve meaningful change thanks to the support of our partners, donors, and volunteers.

Here’s a look at the causes we've championed and the significant milestones we've reached in the past.

1. Masks for Everyone – Fighting COVID-19 Together
Amount Raised: ₹ 37,866.95 ($504.89)
Masks Distributed: 109,090 masks
Lives Impacted: 10,000+ across 23+ cities in the US and IndiaWhen the pandemic hit, one of the most urgent needs was providing people with proper protection. #WishBoard's "Masks for Everyone" initiative worked tirelessly to supply masks to vulnerable communities across India and the United States. We distributed a total of 109,030 masks, ensuring that individuals in cities and towns across Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand states in India received essential protection.The initiative had an undeniable impact—helping communities stay safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Our reach extended to Indiana PA, Monroeville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Morgantown WV, New York City, Detroit, Charlotte NC, Washington DC, parts of Maryland, Falls Church VA, Nashua NH, Chicago, and even Las Vegas in the USA.Key Partners:Kym Laret from Indiana University of Pennsylvania

2. Supporting Our Four-Legged Friends – Four Footed Friends, Indiana, PA
Amount Raised: ₹ 19,333.24 ($261.26)At #WishBoard, we believe that helping animals in need is just as important as supporting people. Our collaboration with Four Footed Friends, a no-kill animal shelter in Indiana, PA, allowed us to raise vital funds for homeless pets awaiting adoption. All donations raised were directed toward the shelter’s operations and animal care, ensuring that these animals received the care and compassion they deserved.

3. HasiruDala, Bangalore, India
Amount Raised: ₹ 2,285.30 ($30)HasiruDala ("Green Force") is an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of waste pickers in Bangalore, India. During the COVID-19 crisis, HasiruDala worked to provide food and essential supplies to over 3,500 families of waste pickers, who were among the most affected by the pandemic. With your generous contributions, we were able to support their efforts and stand in solidarity with this underrepresented community.

4. Supporting Indiana County Humane Society, Indiana, PA
Amount Raised: ₹ 2,220 ($30)The Indiana County Humane Society has been dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and promoting humane values since 1982. This non-profit organization works tirelessly to find responsible homes for unwanted animals, prevent cruelty, and reduce overpopulation through community education and outreach. #WishBoard was proud to contribute to their mission, helping raise funds for their ongoing programs and operations.
